5-7 Oct 2016 Inria Sophia Antipolis-Méditerranée (France)

Goals

The primary goal of this three days event is to bring together researchers in applied/numerical mathematics on one hand, and researchers in applied physics on the other hand, to present ongoing research activities and discuss topics related to the modeling and numerical simulation of nanoscale light/matter interactions.

This event will be driven by guest talks given by physicists who will present current and future applications of nanophotonics for which the modeling and numerical simulation are essential, and numerical tools still under developed or inexistent. The following guests have confirmed their participation:

  • Stéphane Collin, Laboratoire de Photonique et de Nanostructures (LPN)
  • Yevgen Grynko, Fachgebiet Theoretische Elektrotechnik, Universität Paderborn
  • Romain Pierrat, Institut Langevin - Ondes et Images
  • Alexandre Vial, Laboratoire de Nanotechnologie et d'Instrumentation Optique (LNIO), Institut Charles Delaunay (ICD), Université de Technologie de Troyes (UTT)

Contributions

We are pleased to invite you to participate in this event and present your recent contributions on the analysis and numerical solution of mathematical models of nanoscale light/matter interactions, or on the demonstration of computational approaches to the simulation of problems relevant to nanophotonics.

We plan two types of contributions :

  • Contributed talks : each contributed talk will consist of a 25 minutes presentation followed by 5 minutes of discussion.
  • Posters : we also plan to organize a poster session depending on the number of received submissions.

Please submit a one-page abstract (figures and references included) via the dedicated section on the left panel using the Latex Template that is proposed no later than Friday, June 24.

Organization

There are no registration fees. Lunches and the dinner of October 6 will be offered. We regret that we cannot offer any financial support for travel and living expenses, but we hope the venue and the intrinsic interest of the meeting will entice you to come!

A very preliminary program is avalaible on the section program on the left panel.

Deadlines

Extended deadline for a contribution (talk or poster) : July 31, 2016 for registration and submission of the abstract.

For registration without contribution : September 9, 2016.
